As most of you know, I just had my commencement ceremony last Saturday, which officially marked the end of my days as a full time student.
Looking back at the past 4 years, I really have to thank God for His faithfulness and grace. I was never an ace student, more like an average one compared to my peers. Just look at my Sec 4 grades just before the 'O' levels:
Subject | Overall Mark | Grade |
HIGHER CHINESE | 47 | D7 |
ENGLISH LANGUAGE | 79 | A1 |
CME (KNOW & SKILLS) |
| A |
ENGLISH LITERATURE | 70 | A2 |
GEOGRAPHY (REVISED) | 75 | A1 |
MATHEMATICS D | 65 | B3 |
ADDITIONAL MATHEMATICS | 40 | E8 |
PHYSICS | 57 | C5 |
CHEMISTRY | 56 | C5 |
Nothing to be particularly proud of. I still remember when I first entered the university, I had to relearn how to use my calculator all over again; I couldn't even find where the fraction button was! Yet God allowed me to eventually graduate with a bachelor's degree with honours.
So work hard and take heart that whatever results you receive, it is all part of God's plan for you; do not be dismayed even if you get what others consider poor grades. God is faithful, and watches over each and every one of us.
