As most of you know, I just had my commencement ceremony last Saturday, which officially marked the end of my days as a full time student.

Looking back at the past 4 years, I really have to thank God for His faithfulness and grace. I was never an ace student, more like an average one compared to my peers. Just look at my Sec 4 grades just before the 'O' levels:

Subject Overall Mark Grade
HIGHER CHINESE 47 D7
ENGLISH LANGUAGE 79 A1
CME (KNOW & SKILLS)
A
ENGLISH LITERATURE 70 A2
GEOGRAPHY (REVISED) 75 A1
MATHEMATICS D 65 B3
ADDITIONAL MATHEMATICS 40 E8
PHYSICS 57 C5
CHEMISTRY 56 C5

Nothing to be particularly proud of. I still remember when I first entered the university, I had to relearn how to use my calculator all over again; I couldn't even find where the fraction button was! Yet God allowed me to eventually graduate with a bachelor's degree with honours.

So work hard and take heart that whatever results you receive, it is all part of God's plan for you; do not be dismayed even if you get what others consider poor grades. God is faithful, and watches over each and every one of us.

- Jesse
